The Quick Getaway – 2 night package

Sneak away with your best friend, father/mother, or daughter/son for a great weekend of golf and fishing in beautiful Giles County on the New River. Package includes early check in any weekday (1pm early check in offered) followed by a round of golf (with cart) at picturesque Castle Rock Golf Course. Return to the Inn and relax on our expansive deck overlooking the New River. Enjoy a full or half day fishing the next day on the New River (one of the nation’s foremost rivers for small mouth bass) with one of our local top-notch outfitters. Bring your own gear (or rent at additional cost). Fishing license required. Finish your day at one of Giles top restaurants – The Palisades Restaurant or The Bank Food and Drink with a $50 gift dining certificate.

Package: $425 for half-day fishing option, $545 for full-day fishing. Added to lodging and available weekdays July-September (72 hour advance notice required).

Civil War Weekend!

June 8-10, 2012 - Book your room now for a fun filled weekend at Inn at Riverbend as Giles County celebrates the re-enactment of the Battle of Pearisburg!! Saturday and Sunday will be filled with great events such as a military parade, period music and dance, a civil war hospital, and of course the grand re-enactment of the Battle of Pearisburg (which will be on Sunday from 1-3pm). Inn at Riverbend is joining with The Bank Food and Drink, and Giles County to help you step back into history and join in the revelry!!! 

Details: (applies to a Friday/Saturday or a Saturday/Sunday stay) 

  • Evening Wine & cheese reception at Inn at Riverbend, with local historian on Friday evening 
  • Dinner for two at The Bank Food and Drink. Good Friday, Saturday or Sunday evening, this prix fixe meal includes a themed three-course dinner, tax, and tip (does not include alcoholic beverages). 
  • Civil War breakfast served each morning by your hosts in traditional costume.
